Hello Again!

Okay. I'm sorry. I really don't have an excuse for not blogging. I just entered a year of not caring about writing and I went with it. Here is a quick recap of the last year.

•Our daughter graduated from high school and is now a freshman at the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!!
•We went on a cruise (yuck) and came home to a pipe that had leaked into the wall. This, of course, meant a complete remodel and new wood floors with granite countertops. Okay, okay, I just figured if we had to redo a room then we might as well go for broke. And broke is the key word.
•Remember when I said last year that I had "the class". Hells no. They were angels compared to the class I have this year! Not so sure we will meet federal testing guidelines this year.
•Drama with co-workers. My god! Does high school ever end!!!??

That is a quick recap of a very busy year. I am looking forward to any and all holiday breaks. :). I am constantly praying that they invent more. Why can't we have breaks for Hanukkah? Or all Wiccan festival days? I jest. Not really...

Managing It All

Do you ever get tired of managing it all? I know I do! I am a TYPE A personality in the biggest way! I want my home perfect, my classroom perfect (as perfect as an ancient pit can be), my finances perfect, my family perfect, etc.... You get the picture. That usually means a jumbled up mess in my head! While I am working, I am thinking about what I should be doing at home and while I'm doing chores at home, I think about school. What's an obsessive/compulsive girl to do? My question of the day: how do you manage home and work chores?

The Pit

Let's see....where to begin? I have about 3 1/2 days left off from "the pit", a.k.a. school. Yeppers, I like my job okay, but the building itself is GROSS. Moses used to teach in it and I have tried to update it as much as possible, including painting the room, adding bookshelves, air fresheners, etc. Guess I should quit griping and be thankful I have a job. Although, to be honest, there are days when I wish I could walk away. I have THE class this year and my nerves are shot! Oh well, maybe they all will be in a post-Christmas daze when they come back on Monday.
